The Iroquois Gas Transmission System is a 414-mile pipeline extending from the Canadian border at Waddington, NY, through New York State and western Connecticut, reaching Commack and the Bronx, NY. Owned by a partnership of TC PipeLines, Berkshire, and TransCanada, and operated by Iroquois Gas Transmission System, LP, this pipeline operates at more than 50% utilization, mainly serving the utility/power and marketer sectors. Key customers include Keyspan Gas East Corporation, Consolidated Edison of NY, and NJR Energy Services Co. The pipeline system extends from its interconnection with TransCanada PipeLines Limited near Iroquois, Ontario, through New York and Connecticut, across Long Island Sound to South Commack, New York, and extending to Hunts Point, New York.
